We encourage our members to read and interpret the Bible, reflecting the early Disciples tradition of “No creed but Christ, no book but the Bible.”
As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we believe in great unity within our great diversity. We practice “unity, not uniformity” by cooperating and partnering with other faith communities to work to bring wholeness, healing, and justice in the world.
We are a theological reflection of the diverse communities we inhabit. We are united in our faith in God, who is our creator, in Jesus who is the “pioneer and perfecter of our faith,” and in the Spirit who leads us.
As disciples have done throughout the ages, we dedicate ourselves to prayer, to studying the scriptures, to a shared church community life, to worship, and to mission and service. We encourage each other to diligently do these things as God leads us individually and as a church community.
As a congregation we practice “believer’s baptism”, yet, affirming that baptism is a gift and a mystery, we recognize and validate infant baptism for those who wish to place their membership with this congregation.
