Rockville Christian Church was established in 1822, the first congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in what is now the Christian Church - Capital Area Region. 

As a Disciples congregation, we celebrate the Lord's Supper as the central act of our worship each Sunday, and practice believers' baptism by immersion.  Other forms of baptism are recognized as valid when a person wishes to join our congregation by transfer of membership.

We encourage all church members to read and interpret the Bible, reflecting the early Disciples tradition of "No creed but Christ, no book but the Bible."

Rockville Christian Church actively participates in the ChristianChurch - Capital Area, Rockville Ministerial Association, Community Ministries of Rockville, and Community Ministries of Mongomery County.
